Good stuff. Brought back memories when I saw the 2 photos of the long centre vent jacket and the loafers and Sta-Prest

There's a bit approx around page 230 about earlier skinhead-like trends throughout history, and i recollected just those posts when i was reading some texts about the early Swedish workers movement and in particular there's the bombing of the english strike breaker ship Amalthea; In itself interesting for someone like me, but the one of the guys responsible for the deed back in 1908 was a guy called Anton Nilsson:

On the left in this picture.

Trends really go round and around dont they? Although, that sort of coat isn't really it, is it? But still it made my mind wander in the direction....

.....talking of '67.....(great pics by the way)

The Fiddlers Pub, Dagenham 1967. Peter Heed. (Don't think we've had this one before?)

And 'Here We Go Round The Mulberry Bush' 1967 (stop groaning) This is the 'church rave scene' filmed at The Bowes Lyon Club, Stevenage.
(Quadrophenia was dedicated to the 'kids of Stevenage New Town', must have been quite a place back then!)

Some of the dancers in the background are early Skins.(Watch from 1:40)

Just for interest, cute Moddy girls with customised jumpers.

Interesting to see Pork Pies and Trilbies,in the Film.Thought that the two(together) were worn-around `67.Spencer Davies Group in White.Good to see the Dance bit again.Reminds me of going to Youth Club Dances(around`64/`65) and they would have the Chairs along the Wall like that. When you went to see "Live"Groups they would have a decent number of Rythmn and Blues,in their Show.Good times.

    Like the home-made Jumpers,forgotten about those.Good Photos Bunty. :)
