    Not getting dragged into it.

I've never claimed to be anything I'm not. Wasn't born till 79, however I don't go on forums, coming across all high and mighty, without so much as a hello, never mind any background.

There's plenty of lads on here who are in their 50's, who have been submitting great stuff onto the forum,

Tbh, I'm not really sure what point you're trying to make here? And for what reason.

    Who has been blocked?

And more importantly, who has been "found out"???

You've not upset me, just find posts like yours (with added attitude) amusing.

    I'd love to see that!!!!!!

Seeing as most people on here know me (some for considerable time) and I've never claimed to be either original nor 47. I'd also go as far to say, I wouldn't use the term "spirit of 69" as I find it equally as cringeworthy as "a way of life", "keep the faith" and "boss"

Please quote the aforementioned article, and if I have said this under some sort of drug or alcohol induced state, then I will apologise for any confusion, however, I don't think you will find it.

This post you've read from me?

It's easy to quote it into a reply, you've already done it on your last post.

What are these harringtons like 'The real spirit' ? [IMG] (spotted it in your avator pic)

I didn't think an 'original' would go for that look. with the patches and slogans etc. You tend to see this 'look' on folk that are new to the scene.

But if you were there from the begining, hats off to ya. tell us some stories or post some photos please

Right, I'm gonna cut you some slack here (another expression I hate, but it fits), as you probably have a lot to say, I just think you've started in the wrong way. I know what you have done, but I'd rather you find out for yourself.

The last thing I want, is for someone who was there, and can tell things from a different prospective, to feel alienated or unwelcome on here.

These tops first appeared (in the North - Blackpool and Manchester) in late 67 early 68, and had gone out of fashion there by mid-68. I moved from the North to S E London in mid-68 and found girls down South still wearing them. When I visited up North again and told the girls up there what London girls were wearing, they laughed and said "Mini-mods!"

Also, in my mod/skinhead time in London (68, 69, 70) the girls were always 'softer', but really sharply dressed.

    Just saying.
