totally agree with you in that point, also understand alot of the other points you made and really enjoy your stories on here about the past too...
again, i have no problem with any of you "originals" but it seems that just one guy has a problem with me...

you are 100% this thread is an really interesting walk through the past and i never blamed the old one on here for asking these questions... i just made fun about the young ones that ask these questions... and a bit nostalgia from time to time could not be that bad... ;)

so go on with the stories from the past and not the banter from today... peace and all that shit, hahahaha... ;)

Yes the old gits disagree. I disagree with Lasttye about the state of Britain in the late 60s. I have a more upbeat view of it. So what? Do you want everybody to sing from the same hymn book?

The London thing was hugely important at the time. That is just the way things were.

If you have been a skinhead for 25 years, it is now a lifestyle. That is - IMO - different to a lot of what is being discussed here. A lot of 60s London stuff would look daft on someone my age. From what I see of Lasttye's kit it is age-appropriate and he does not look like a cartoon skin.

From what I have seen of Germany it seems like a top country better than Scandinavia and Holland. Maybe Austria and Switzerland are on the same level. So as a Brit I am not claiming to be better than you. If anything I would be envious of a lot of what Germany has.

Their is plenty of disagreements between members, but its always been civil, Kingstonian and I disagree sometimes, Me and Browniecj disagree a lot, Browniecj is a personal friend of mine, and a few others on here that i have meet personally.
By disagreeing we all learn, I have learnt some much about the original skinheads, from Colin and MoM who have a better memory of certain stuff than myself.
Anyway we still have to find those elusive Ruperts , :D
