It would actually have been in the 80s. It's not one I had back in the day. I think I would have been back in the NW by then, near Liverpool. (I got around a bit)

    Great Photo's mate.
    Good clobber and nicely fitting.

P.s. If I had enough hair, I'd wear it in the same style.

Thanks sounds. The best deal I've seen on a FP polo I've seen in ages - treated myself. :)

thought as much - they did one about '74 - '75 with shorter squarer pocket flaps than the '60s one, which hung around (alongside others) til they started putting side pockets in. The indigo dye washed out differently as well, compared to the earlier ones, so you got a different contrast as they wore in.

This one doesn't have side pockets, by the way. It's slightly too small for me.

Pinafore dresses were like Queenie describes. Straightish dresses with like straps over the shoulders. Usually worn with a shirt or blouse underneath. I will see if i can find a picture.

I never recall a girl in a pinafore dress round S E London... but then I am getting old and the memory isn't what it was...

Soundpressure thanks. Although it took several washes for the levis to shrink to the desired size. They still tend to fit loose at the waist but I usually prefer braces when wearing these jeans as they make them hang better than do belts.

And if I could grow a decent set of mutton chops I would.

BTW nice FP check pants. Pity there really aren't any FP stores around my area except this place http://www.posers-hollywood.com/ where I usually get most of my FP and other 'skin gear'. Haven't been there in awhile though.

Get Smart, if I'm not mistaken I believe you're also from LA? If you are, have you visited that store in Melrose at all lately?

Agreed. Can't go wrong with a white shirt as they go well with most everything else.
