This site is all about like minded people who discuss style and cloths, We do not come on here advertising our business, especially selling cheap crap, if you read this thread you will find that the cloths that you sell is the perfect example of what we would not wear.

^^ that that bit of writing is a bit hard to make out...?

but there is a good bit towards end when it's written about "dress no longer innovative - nobody discovering (new items)....style manufactured from above instead of being spontaneously created from within"

But that's always been a pandora's box of discussion, whether or not the skinhead style is too restricted-uniformed-dogmatic, or if there exists too much room for self expression than it isnt skinhead anymore.

Interesting read. but what's with all that white negro stuff?

The filename says scoots1970s.jpg.

Those v-necks worn without a shirt under it/bare chested like in those photo of Bunty's brother I thought that was only limited to the summer of '67? Then again the caption could be simply wrong as I have a gut feeling that this might rather be 1967?

The registration number on the scooter suggests that it cannot be earlier than Aug 1967, but bearing in mind that it doesn't have to be a brand new scooter and those hairstyles seem to be 'grown-out' I would assume that '1970s' is accurate.

I have to agree with you. The longer hair and the length of the girl in yellow's dress say early '70's to me.

Point taken about spam.

However, knock off Harringtons are what most people in the 1960s had - not Baracuta.

I do not have a problem with knock offs; but I would not wear a black Harrington in any circumstances now, as it has too many teenage associations for me and would not be age appropriate.

Those arn't v-neck jumpers. They are T-Shirts. The blue one appears tye dyed, definatly an early 70s look. Plus the scooter doesn't look anywhere near new so i'd say the photo is early 70s definatly.

Yep never saw anyone wearing a Baracuta in the 60s, The first time i saw a Baracuta was when i bought one in the Ivy shop around 82??
In the 60s we wore Harringtons made by Sky Jump.

Is that cos ye'd never heard of Baracutas or more cos they were a bit expensive and the cheaper ones were almost as good?

Dear Lasttye

There was no need to be offensive, all you had to do was ask the editor to remove our posting. I had read some of the postings and i had gathered that the site was dedicated to originality so therefore I was only pointing out where original UK Harringtons could be purchased from. I wore Harringtons in 1971 as a 14 year old and knew no one that had a Baracuta, being from North London and a working class family there was no way that anyone of our group or anyone else that I knew could afford the likes. I wont post anything else but I will still follow the site. Cheers.
