Saw this old photo from 1963 on my old school's facebook page. Superimposed it (badly) onto a googlemaps image of the street now, 59 years later.

The temp here in San Diego is 10° cooler than London right now. Stay cool 😎 and hydrated my friends.

Living next to the 4.5 square mile concrete and asphalt slab that is Heathrow Airport isn't ideal in this weather. Got an A/C, so it's almost bearable. New York City summers are worse.

Speaking of Scotland, my Dormeuil jacket was made by Robert Dick of Dennistoun in Glesga.
I thought it might have been a rarity down here in London seeing as it was made by a small bespoke tailor in Scotland, but apparently not. It was recognised as soon as I wore it out at the weekend.
I was very surprised when I overheard someone in the restaurant say to their friend, "Check out that Dick's jacket." when I walked past.

Badoom tish!
I like the jacket Inkss. Did you drop some timber too or is it just the camera angle doing you some favours?
Still can’t bring myself to do two-button jackets. I have a beautiful new hopsack blazer in for surgery now getting the third button hole added. Even if I don’t fasten it and let the lapel roll over the top button I still like the symmetry of a 3B. Watch this space for details.

I had to take off a few pounds. I went to one of my first non-funereal functions since Covid in February (black is forgiving), and found none of my trousers fit and my jacket buttons were hanging on for dear life. Decided I better cut down on my porklife and get some exercise.
