Can anyone here remember the make or brand name of some of the American shirts?
I'd like to try to seek a few vintage ones out. Cheers.

    I wish I could remember.

She is happy to let us use anything that she has given to me, I also took notes from Her, but i want to interview Lindsey again,
I took that pic from my camera Paul, but am gonna get my printer/scanner up to do them properly.

Most the newspaper clippings have dates Paul.

Just found an old, old pic of myself in pre-skinhead days, a 16-year-old mod.

The shirt is a Madras cotton check and I'm wearing it under a black crew-neck sweater. I'm frowning because I'm trying to learn a John Lee Hooker riff and someone has interrupted me to take a photo! [IMG]

I still had the shirt in 1969 - I used to wear it if I had rough work to do, like in this 'dig' at a youth camp:

An educated guess would be they were e.g. Sero or Troy. Here's a good source for NOS shirts:

I have spoken to J Simons Years ago about the make's he sold, got fcuk all out of him, Maybe Kingstonian can help us on this one,

J Press is another possible make, Whats got to be remembered, Their was hundreds of American shirt makes back then most that are no longer in business.

I think my first ever button-down shirt (apart from the Madras thing above) was a Sero, before I bought a Ben Sherman. It was light green. I'm wearing it in this shot:

Another thing about J Simons, I bought a Baracuta off him in 78, I said you did not sell these in the 60s, You sold' Sky Jump' Harrigtons, He replied we have always sold Baracuta, which was incorrect, Never ever saw a Baracuta back then, in fact if anyone have one.. he would have got the piss taken out of them as the collar of the Baracuta is crap Lol

Just looking at that pic of Della reinforces the fact that girls in the revival (with honourable exceptions like our own Little Queenie) seem to get the style and attitude totally wrong.
