I like grain leather more then smooth, especially for steel toe/industrial boots

I look like a shit sandwich cos my BB Red Fleece shirt seemed to shrink a size with dinner, but I do like these trousers quite a bit. Not really for the purist, though. The twill is a lot heavier than the sateen of real surplus issue. The medium rise and the straight leg are pretty comparable to a pair of modern 501's. Was pleasantly surprised when I realized they came tin a buttoning side adjuster.

Navy Solovair fringe tassel loafers, without grooves on the soles like the ones @LeviStubbsTears wear on his picture (his are Astros repros i presume).
Worn with a Lee 101 z (sewn turn-ups) and FP oxblood socks.
I'm not such a big fan of Solovair, but i really dig the unusual Navy color.

I always prefer wearing greens with a plain or stripe shirt, compiment each other well imo, sateen is nice but i can live with polycotton greens.

The navy loafers go well with the oxblood socks clouseau, like em more then bright red socks.

Agreed on the shirts. I think there is something about greens/utility trousers that demands simplicity from the rest of what you're wearing.

Reviving this. I remember lurking this thread a very long time ago and seeing links to websites with a lot of staples (ma-1's, trousers, etc.) and usually had cheaper, off-brand items. I'm hoping to find a wine red harrington jacket but don't want to shell out the cash for a Baracuta. Any suggestions?
