I dunno, man... How much outerwear do you own and love with contrasting buttons? Really contrasting, not just gray on black or brown on green. It's a good idea, but I don't think it works in reality. It brings too much attention to a flimsy, little, mass-produced thing--the cheapest thing on the garment--instead of the garment itself. Communism works, too, man... in theory. Why do you hate America?

I think you should use an old school leather button. it would go well and you could statisfy everyone.

I can't wait to get one of these. I love the charcoal and it would be nice to have pockets. As far as buttons go I'm quite ambivalent as long as they match. Preferably something grey/silver/black.

Forgive me if I don't like plain Jane. I don't think copper dramatically contrasts with the fabric at all just like how brass buttons worked on Southern uniforms. Alas, it is not a point I need to debate further. If I told you why, I'd have to kill you. I am, however, curious to see these "leather buttons" Mauro mentioned.

love it. charcoal is great, and i think a med to dark brown leather button would be great. or just brown wood/plastic/whatever.
