Hi,

I have a 3-button jacket and I after I had it shortened a little I would like to move the buttons up by an inch or 3/4 of an inch. Problem is these are working buttons with button-holes. Is it possible?

Thanks

Are you talking about the sleeves? They can be raised from the armholes, but it is a costly and difficult alteration, especially if it is a well-made coat. Find the best tailor you can, and ask him what you can expect.

Without some drastic reconstruction that will cost more than a new suit and ruin the balance in a variety of areas, no.

Thanks. I also thought it might require changing the whole front piece, which is not worth it.
