The other day, I had to go to an outside event at the last minute. It was pretty cold and the only thing I had available that was half-way appropriate was a corduroy jacket and non-matching corduroy pants. The jacket was a sort of chocolate brown with a very narrow wale while the pants were lovat/olive with a much wider wale. I thought it would look idiotic but, to my great surprise, it did not completely suck . . . or maybe I was just kidding myself. It was certainly warm, at least. So what is the SF group think on mismatched corduroy? Can it ever work? If so, under what conditions? Have you seen/done this yourself?
