OK, I purchased a new pair of Ralph Lauren Dark Chocolate Darlton Wingtip shoes in a size 7.5. I usually wear 8.5 shoes and they said to buy these a half size to a full size smaller than what you normally wear. After a day of wearing, I've concluded that these shoes are a half size too small. I can't return since they are worn. These were over $800.

The only options I can think of is to sell them OR wear them and hope they stretch. They generally fit but get somewhat tight in the toe-box area and just a bit uncomfortable but bearable if these truely do stretch over time.

Any reasonable offer and i will sell the pair OR any suggestions welcome ( you can email me at [email protected]). I live in New York.

much thanks

just joined this site and this is my first thread

To me I think it is a bit silly to automatically assume to order a half size small, and when I do get new shoes I usually wear them at my computer or while watching TV and get an idea about fit.

Beyond that, I would consider having them stretched by a shoe repair shop if you are stuck with them. But that depends where on the foot the shoe does/doesn't fit.

I will always try to fit a shoe with the ball of the foot in the right spot, and sometimes that means stretching the toe a smidge.

I would post on B&S but have to wait 45 days as a new memebr before I have authorization to post. Also, their a bit snug in the widest width of the foot and a little in length- how much can they actually stretch before harm?

thanks

So you disregard and post them for sale here in an attempt to circumvent the clearly stated forum rules?
