Military Style Boots

I need a new casual pair of boots for some time in DC. What do people think of these:

I like the style a lot, I know they are by Boss, but they are still blaked stitched, so not terrible. But what do people think of how they might hold up in DC like weather, SD doesnt allow us to gauge such things all too well.

Except for the strap I like them. They are just like jungle boots except instead of green canvas they have the tan leather. They are kind of pricey though.

I could get them at 200... but is there anywhere I can get a similar style for less?

Of course!

Although I don't know where. These boots are an interesting take on the jungle boot. You could just get real jungle boots that are all black for under $200, but I kind of like these because they are less military.

I really don't like that strap though I wonder if it's removeable?

Yea, thats exactly why I like these, military inspired but enough style to mix with a lot.
Maybe I'll look into some Redwings too.
