Military jacket goes with jeans?

I'm gonna wear this new Marc by Marc Jacobs jacket tonight, but I'm not sure what denim to wear it with? All the denims that are posted are dark grey/black-ish. I don't want to wear them with dark blue jeans, it won't look good. Do you think I should wear it with pin-striped navy blue pants (like the one on the model)? Thanks!

Honestly, I don't know what you could wear with that and not wind up looking like a drum major in a marching band. Then again, I have weird opinions on things.

I would decline the idea to wear jeans at all with this type of jacket. It looks a bit like the casual friday version of a major domus. Be consequent, try something similar to the runaway picture. I like military style jackets, but I think they should look heavily used.

Best, JB

Thanks. Yeah, I think so too. I'll wear them with Navy pants.

I think the model has it right, wear your darkest jeans you have with that jacket.

I just think you should be prepared to answer questions about how long you have been in a marching band. I wouldnt wear that Jacket with any kind of jeans or at all for that matter, but that is me. Rock what you like Homie.

The only solution would be to wear something not at all associated with marching bands like excessive Versace and leather trousers.

I'd wear that with cords, not jeans. The stripes go better with it. Probably need a scarf and only wear it on a cold day (assuming it's warm). People are less likely to question your wardrobe if it's appropriate for the weather.

I think the jacket would be much nicer if it all was one color.
