I just stumbled onto these on eBay. I find that military belts rival designer belts in creativity and style. Plus, they're much more edge than civilian belts and have a real history. Many items are from as early as WWII. These are a few good ones I've found so far. Haven't decided which ones to buy yet. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...tem=6532617373 http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...tem=6531794014 http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...tem=6532640766 http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...tem=6533159460 Some of them are too wide for standard belt loops (> 1.75") but length is usually fully adjustable. There are also a lot of cool buckles, but I'm weary about having to find a matching belt. Will a leather-goods store (we have one in Austin that specializes in cowboy stuff) carry a wide selection at reasonable prices? Any other fans of military belts out there? Any tips on buying, where to find, etc? P.S. - if you're going to bid on these, PM me and we can work something out so we don't start a bidding war

When shopping for military belt just make sure you're not purchasing some that are made to be worn on overcoats or on top of jackets without going through belt loops. In other words most of those you'll see on ebay are too big to be worn with jeans, not only because they're too wide but also because they're too thick or the buckle takes too much space...
