This is not an official commercial but a mash-up of an earlier Jordan commercial and Lebron's "Rise" commercial. I don't believe Jordan himself had anything to do with the release of the ad.

Yeah, it's not likely that Jordan himself had anything to do with that video, but anyone who thinks that Jordan is anything other than a petty, insecure player who let his talent go to his head should read about his Hall of Fame induction speech:

Jordan had nothing to do with it.

Like it or not, Jordan singlehandedly transformed the game of basketball and elevated the sport to an international level like no one ever has, or ever will, again. Jordan's contribution to the game of basketball, for better or for worse, is immeasurable and indelible. Lebron will be another footnote in a book written by Michael....

No question his HOF speech really showed his true character.

It's still hard to believe that Jordan flew in one of his former high school teammates so he could tell him at his HoF induction ceremony that the high school coach made a mistake by starting him over Jordan. That just goes to show that no matter how many awards or accolades Jordan receives for his basketball career, it will never be enough.

Michael's curse was also his strength. Nothing was or is ever enough for him, and that is what made him always strive for more.

It's not true that the drive for achievement in one's field of endeavor is inextricably tied to the drive for self-aggrandizement. There are plenty of people that had the former without the latter. There are also plenty who had the latter without the former which, at the end of the day, is really no less pathetic than having both.

That may be true, but it wasn't true for Jordan.

Lebron will always strive to be better then the best which is Jordan. The problem is that Lebron does not possess the finesse that Jordan did and no matter how many point he scores he will never better Jordan.
