Seems like someone was very "fondly remembered", but I just dont get it.

Probably something that was discussed before my joining the forum . . .

I see he's still suffering from delusions of grandeur. Unfortunately, he's lost every troll poll to Vaclav, who was far more sympathetic and far less disruptive.

Ernest was an unemployed French guy who was the most disruptive, rude and annoying troll in the history of the forum. Everybody loved to bait him and he gave as good as he got. He was convinced we were all in the thrall of his "cult of personality."

For what was probably the funniest and best example, does someone know which thread it was in which Jon kept quoting the French insults from Monty Python and the Holy Grail, to which ernest kept calling him a virgin? Good God, just thinking about it has me laughing!

He was also better dressed, in his way. His multi tweed outfit will, I think, turn out to be radically ahead of its time if the whole BrooksBrowne thing turns out anything like I imagine it.
