My locals mens store was giving away copies of the new menswear mag. HIGHLY recommend you guys pick it up...article on "10 ways to improve your style," knotting your ties (includes an 8x10 pic of the Duke of Windsor knotting his tie), nice editors' picks (shirts, ties, etc.) and on page 12 a blurb on "A Guy's Guide to Shopping" Steve's book..

With the possible exception of the very gay-looking piece on 'the dreamers', some of them sporting spring scarf-things (give me a break.), a really great issue.

You want to see gay editorial content? Â Check out the latest Arena Homme +" Â The gayest ever. Â Not that there's anything wrong with that. Â No, of course not Â

You talk about the article about the 'Dreamers' being gay, but then a lot of you guys drool over the Duke of Windsor like he's Anna Kournikova. What gives???

By the way, that was intended with no negativity whatsoever, just a joke.

In one of the major shoots for that mag, the models were wearing Vass shoes. Unfortunately, they cropped the photo's in order to better show the shirt/tie combo's and the shoes are not visible

Yes,it is called Menswear, from Fairchild Publications, who also publish DNR and Details. Â Â I second The Foxx's recommendation. I checked it out it tonight at my local Barnes & Noble. Nice photos. Concise articles. Excellent section on coordinating patterns. Interesting articles on Ozwald Boateng and Dries Van Noten. All for $5.95 US.

Hi

I'm based in Europe and I don't know if the Menswear mag will arrive here, does it have any webpage? I just can't find it.

Just saw a copy in Barnes and Noble. Great pictures. Appreciated the advice to be a bit more "bold". Thanks, FOXX, for bringing this to our attention. Anyone remember "M" magazine?

Proud to say I was a charter subscriber to M. I remember when it was absorbed by another New York magazine before going under. A great lifestyle magazine, with clear color photos each month usually featuring manufactures from a particular country i.e. the best summer clothes of Italy.
I still have vol.1 No.1 with great articles on custom tailors, and various English bespoke clothes makers. I miss it now, nothing in the U. S. is its equal.

I just got a copy of Menswear in the mail a few days ago. I was really surprised to get the magazine, and was happy with the content inside. Any idea why the magazine was sent?

i too remember M magazine, which was incorporated into GQ when it went belly up ..... to some degree i think it was ahead of itself as if it were lauched today, i would likely have a much better chance of survival given the men's market interest

but i think vitals, launching in the fall, which although being called a luxury shopping men's mag, is going to fill the niche lost by M

Great magazine - I'm sorry that I got rid of the copies I had. My favorite issue had a whole list of things that showed "American" style. Everything from cowboy boots to Brooks Brothers. Very fun. Bradford
