According to Womens Wear Daily (cleary a credible source for mens mag news) mogue is being reduced to 2 issues a year. Which kind of sucks. I really liked the magazine and thoroughly enjoyed the intelligent articles and fashion spreads.

Why lament the passing of a useless collection of laminated paper? After an excellent start this mag has become like all others.

Stick with Men's Ex. You don't even have to know Japanese to appreciate this fine periodical.

Good, but I hope they keep publishing the Japanese Men's Vogue.

No great loss whatever happens to it. I thought it started out in a promising fashion, but after the first couple of issues I couldn't see where it was any better than Esquire or GQ.

I canceled my subscriptions to Esquire and GQ as well as their British versions. I don't dislike them, it's just that the content has become so boring with everything a co-branded advertisement. There is also a lot of lame style and fashion advice.

It's too bad. You would think that a more inspirational men's fashion magazine could be successful.

Well, yes, Men's Vogue sucks. But GQ is much, much worse. It's barely even intelligible. Esquire also sucks, but what it gains in being slightly less fashion-whorey, it loses in being boring.

G,

do you have a subscription to Men's Ex? It's fabulous, a bit expensive, but definitely worth it.

Classic Style's mistake is that it's written for and marketed toward Fedora Loungers.

I don't. I've been getting a few issues of it and Leon every few months from Amazon Japan. I would like to find a place in downtown San Francisco that has it.

I just subscribed to it and they have been sending me issues every other week. I thought it is strange, well now I know why.
Back to mysteriously incomprehensible Japanese mags.

I got mine through the Asahiya bookstore in NYC. I'm sure SF has something similar. I know LA has a branch too.

Other than what's coming by mail from what I purchased on Ebay and stuff, the monthly Men's Ex arrival always cheers me up.
