Style Forum:
I've been a memeber of the site for a year and have greatly enjoyed reading the posts. I hope this doesn't violate any sort of etiquette, but I'd like to invite those in the Philadelphia area to come out to the event below.

Men's-Only Happy Hour in Philly, March 29

Be Better Guys is hosting an men's only event with Philadelphia STYLE magazine on Thursday, March 29, from 6:30 to 8:30 pm at Water Works Restaurant and Bar, talking about "The Guy's Guide to Getting a Life," and offering our 2 cents on clothing, dating, and how to be. Along with The Guys will be American Male Grooming Salon, who will have several stylists (tentatively scheduled Miss FHM 2005 Lauren Harris, who happens to be an American Male stylist); a Spring fashion presentation courtesy of Boyd's; and 93.3 WMMR's Preston Elliot (of the Preston and Steve Show), who's under going an extreme makeover after losing 40 lbs! $25 in advance, $40 at the door. Each guest gets a grab bag with items from Nicole Miller and other local retailers. Follow this link to the flyer.

Come out and let's have a drink!

The event is sponsored by Grey Goose, Dewar's 12 Year Scotch, Michelob Ultra, Young Professional Events of Philadelphia, DLG Media, and BBG, Inc.

Doesn't not having women there kind of defeat the purpose?

^^ That's a fair question.

When we've had events in the past, the men tend to clam up with women in the room. Maybe they don't want to come off as metrosexual or whatever. It's kind of like going to a bar, having a room full of women and only five guys putting in work. This way, we figure anyone there is interested in the topics and will be more inclined to participate.

Women will come after the event for drink specials with them in mind.
