Anyone here purchased a hat from Hornskov hats? I have ordered one in 100% beaver similar to the picture. View attachment 1542673

I have none of their hats, having learned that they exist only recently, but they do look very handsome and I look forward to your opinions on it as I could imagine myself buying one some day.

Anyone own an Optimo LaSalle ? I have a Manhattan in black that I picked up second hand. Optimo is resizing for me. I'm considering the La Salle. Thanks

I have a Lasalle in Blue Pearl - very nice hat. I also have a Chicago in Aubergene.
The Lasalle is probably the widest brim of my hats. The crown is a cross between a center-dent and teardrop. Here are some pics:

side by side quick snaps with Chicago (please ignore the photoshop erasing...)

My Hornskov has arrived from Copenhagen. It arrived with an open crown. I have not yet steamed it but have only pushed it into shape with my hands. My biggest hat yet! Before this, the widest brim that I had ventured was 2 1/4 inches and the highest crown 4 1/4 inches; the figures for this hat are about 2 3/4 and 5, respectively.

Wow, that is a stunning hat! You may not need to steam it. A crown that accepts a bash and dents and holds them needs no steam. If it is stiff and pops back to open crown then steam will allow youbtonset the shape and then hold it. If you steam a hat tjat takes and holds the bash on top and side dents then you risk activating shellac in the felt and making it stiff.
