You know, before i really hadn't though about skin care for guys, but while i was surfin around the net i came along a couple of sites that talked about skin care for men and it's actualy quite interesting. Of course me being a real macho man i got scared at first, it sound girly taking care of ur skin but heck, girls like guys who keep clean. ne ways i though this particular article was great so just thought i'd share it with all the guys, hope it helps

However, the advice given could be better.

For example, daily use of facial cleanser (instead of soap) makes more sense, with the type and frequency dependent mostly on skin type. It's important that the water be warm rather than cold (maybe it was confusingly worded) and that the towel be soft.

Also, many men need sunscreen an SPF of 30 (instead of 15), and aloe is worthless as a skin care ingredient.

Finally, not that it matters much to the discussion, but there is some recent evidence that caffeine doesn't dehydrate.

Genetics plays an important role, in the way our skin looks and behaves. My father will be 80, later this month. He hasn't a wrinkle on his face. I'm almost fifty-one; except for a scowl line between my eyebrows, I have no wrinkles.

Sun damage, is a major reason, behind leathery, blotchy, discolored skin. I remember when I saw Dean Martin up close: his skin looked like a leather mask. It lacked animation, expression, and had creases and grooves carved into it, for all time. Sunscreen, is IMPORTANT.

Exfoliation, is paramount. I use an exfoliating sponge, when I wash my face. Scrub vigorously, until you feel a tingle. My favorite cleanser, is PEARS soap: Big Lots, 59 cents a bar.

Exercise will improve skin tone, to be sure. Make sure to drink lots of water, yes. I like Propel fitness water, during workouts, and afterward. Much more satisfying and soothing, than plain water, at least for me.

After exfoliating, use something to soothe your face. Whatever, works for you. But you must, exfoliate each day. Otherwise, you're slathering something atop a callous.
