Who is interested in a Melbourne meetup? M@T will be here in mid-November and Nugget is expected to be hear at around the same time. I of course live here so I will definately be around for a meetup.

So, who is up for it?

thanks for taking the lead here. I will be in on 19-21, so 20th for a drink works for me. I'll be staying with friends in Elwood, and unlikely to have a car, so would prefer to be somewhere on My Side Of The Bridge.

St Kilda maybe? Or else Sth Yarra somewhere? I've kinda lost track of places in all the years I have been out, so I'll leave the venue selection up to you guys.

Where the hell is Nick M by the way? If he isn't there, beatings must be arranged.

Wonder if the shooman will show up in disguise (sneakers/baseball cap) and take photos for Carl's site....

I'm happy with grabbing a few lazy beers in the afternoon somewhere in St Kilda ... that way if we don't like the place we can at least move easily along to somewhere else

Still alive, more or less.

Free on the 20th, any time after about 12-1.

I WILL SEE YOU THERE. I'll be the one in cargo shorts and thongs.

Hello everyone, yes I'm from Melbourne and I'd like to come, thanks to m@T for the tip-off.

As for a bar, I think Match near Strike bowling on little lonsdale would be nice.

If you have a look:
http://www.matchbar.com/galleryMatchMelbourne.php

They play quiet music, it's a cocktail bar here is a glimpse of what they say.

"The No List
We've been mixing brilliant drinks with great music and good people for over a decade now. There is a lot that we do to ensure you have a good time with us, but there's also a long list of things we'd rather have nothing to do with.

Here's just some of stuff you won't find here.

No pints
No alcopops
No energy drinks
No happy hour
No "˜Chocolate Martinis'
No "˜Apple Martinis'
No drinks with vanilla in
No bought-in ice
No chart tunes
No awards wall
No door whore
No dress code
No VIP
No peanuts
No pork scratchings
No Sky Sports
No quiz night
No flair bartending"

I have the day off so I'm happy to travel anywhere regardless.

But with the improvements in weather recently I think St Kilda will be a good place for a few beers.

Wait, so... Tuesday the 18th, or Thursday the 20th?

Either way, I'll drop in.
