Smallest size available in this brand. It’s a Mackintosh “Broom” peacoat in size 34. Fits huge. Think I’ll try another maker, probably Private White.
Billy Reid’s Bond Pea Coat fits very slim. I had to size up to XL from my normal large. Daniel Craig wore it on his own then convinced the producers to let him wear it in a Bond flick.

Thanks for the suggestion. I’ll definitely consider it. The peak lapels are a pretty cool detail.

Is there a standard in the US and British navies for where the cuff falls relative to the hand on a peacoat? If so, what is it? If not, do people have a preference that isn't just what one would do with a tailored overcoat?
Length of sleeve should be three-quarters of the way down the hand from wrist to knuckles - I read this in Navy regs, but cannot cite it at the moment.

For us Canadians to buy good shoes/boots, is it better to buy from AE or Meermin?
And how can I try on a shoe before buying it? It's literally impossible since there is no location for these stores in Toronto

You pretty much answered the question yourself. Harry Rosen and Canadian Nordstrom locations stopped carrying AE in the last year or so.

Short of taking a road trip down to New York, you’re probably looking at a lot of trial and error and international return hassles, which is ridiculous given how close Allen Edmonds’ headquarters is geographically to Toronto. All their orders are now facilitated through Borderfree which sucks.

Looks like I'll go either Loding, Gravitypope, or Spier and McKay shoes, or even brown's blake stitch shoes...
Edit: where do you go for your shoes now?

I’m in Ottawa where the situation is even more dire. I buy pretty much everything online and hope for the best. I’ve had fairly good luck with AE’s but my two pairs of Carminas hurt like hell. Doing lots of research on the various sizing threads helps a lot but of course nothing beats trying on.

LBM 1911 Air Force Blue coat from NMWA a few years ago. Pea coat or overcoat?

I’m new to the forum. Just got my first peacoat, and unsure of the size. Does it look too big?
