Anyone have a good source for a camel colored peacoat? Apparently I'm one of the few who likes the idea, because it's proving difficult to find. I'm considering Hockerty MTM, but the 50/50 wool blend is a big turnoff, and Hockerty seems poorly regarded even in the inconsistent MTM sphere. But they do offer the product I'm looking for.

So I ended up getting a HECTOR WOOL BLEND DOUBLE BREASTED PEACOAT CAMEL from Reiss.

It's exactly as it appears in the photos. Probably slightly overpriced at $260, but I'm fine with that, given the limited availability in camel from any manufacturer. 65/35 wool blend, but doesn't feel low quality in the hand. It's not totally unstructured, but it is as floppy as it appears in the photos. I wear a 36R slim suit from Suitsupply, and size S seems true to size, perhaps slightly roomy in the body, but not undesirably so for a peacoat.

Reiss offers free return shipping, but I think I'll be hanging onto it.

Private White camel peacoat in 100% cashmere, currently discounted. Not cheap but it’s what came to mind.

Really like the look of this one but what are the pros and cons of cashmere jacket like this?? (except for the price of course). Never owned cashmere so no idea, what are the thoughts gents?

Cashmere coats are excellent. Soft and warm but the can be delicate and cashmere will show wear long before wool does. I never carry a shoulder bag while wearing one to prevent wear. Anyway, I have several cashmere overcoats and two pea coats that are wool/cash blends. Love them all.

I purchased that coat and really liked the feel and color. Unfortunately for me, the armholes are cut too narrow for me and the shoulders bunched like crazy. I ended up finding a camel Mackintosh peacoat that worked.
Hope you enjoy it though. I thought it was a very nice coat.

This is a long shot, but does anybody have any idea who makes this peacoat? It's from a TV show I used to watch called Fringe that ran from 2008 - 2013. The main character Peter Bishop, played by Joshua Jackson, wore different variations of the peacoat. Some of them had the vertical welted hand warmer pockets on the chest and some had flap pockets on the hips.

I don't think the one below is from Sterlingwear. If I had to guess, it could be from a European company since it's cut slimmer and doesn't have the huge shiny naval buttons with the embossed anchors.

A couple years ago I bought a Globerall 100% Melton wool peacoat made in England through Amazon.es (Spain), but unfortunately they sent me the wrong size: I asked for a Small and I got a larger size. As you can see, the fit was terrible even though I was wearing a turtleneck and a heavy cardigan. (Sorry for the crappy phone pictures)

As it was an Amazon mistake, they asked me to send it back for exchange, but at the end the shipping cost was so high (I live in Colombia) that they told me to keep it free of charge even though they refund me all costs, including local taxes and duties: excellent customer service.

I decided to take it to my tailor for adjustments as I wanted a slimmer look: they had to unmount the whole garment to change not only the shoulder width, but sleeves, length and more important, the overall fit. The following images show the corrected peacoat: I think they did a great job taking into account what was the original garment...

Looks great. Whatever you paid for all those alterations was well worth it.

I visited Bogotá this past fall and definitely could have used a peacoat in the evenings. It was a lot cooler than I expected!

Alterations in Bogotá doesn't cost as much as in other parts of the world. I was very happy with the result as I "recovered" a coat that I use almost all year round, as we don't have seasons and this is a quite cold city, as you could verify.

Wow they did an exemplary job. They seem to have really reconstructed it and the fit is great on you.

I’m looking for this peacoat that Gordon Ramsay wore during season 1 of Kitchen Nightmares US. This peacoat is from 2007 or before that but I’m trying to figure out the designer. In one of the photos there’s a white label tag in the inside pocket but hard to see what the designer is. Anybody know?

This is my new officine generale pea coat.
Thoughts on fit?
Bearing in mind I am trying it on with just a tshirt under where normally it would be shirt and jumper.
Also I am 5ft 6.5 in height.
