If anybody with a Sterlingwear Navigator could answer some questions for me, it would be greatly appreciated -

1. Does the collar stay popped? The website says it's a "convertible collar", and I have no idea what that is.

2. Is the "traditional black" colour true black or the dark midnight blue that appears black except in direct sunlight?

3. How's the wool and the lining? Itchy?

4. How warm is the coat in general? How wind- and water-resistant is it?

I realize it's a lot of questions, thanks in advance for any help.

The collar looks huge on that peacoat, not sure I'd want to pop it up

3. Not itchy 4. It is warm, but I wouldn't wear it in the dead of winter when the windchill is just howling. It's a peacoat and shouldn't be confused with a down jacket. I'm in Toronto and I'd say anywhere from -10C you need to wear a proper winter jacket. I don't know if it is water resistant, I'd imagine it's not. I wear mine to and from work.

I tried the new Club Monaco peacoat. They have it in Charcoal and Navy. It is very nice, slim fitting.

The large is too big but the medium was snug. I'm usually a 42 in jackets.

Now I need to decide if I should get the CM or order a schott.

what is it that you dont like about it? if you dont mind me asking...

Coloring seems a bit weird (maybe it's the lighting?) and I don't like the combo jackets (hoodie inside coat). Especially at this price.

Don't get me wrong I like Nice Collective and they are from San Francisco, just didn't like this coat.

Do you guys get your peacoats tailored? If not, what's a good peacoat for someone with broad shoulders and a narrow waist?

Thanks.

What size Fidelity peacoat (satin-lined) for a 6ft.1" 160lbs. 38L jacket? I will be wearing with sweaters and tees underneath. I am thinking 36L maybe but I can't find an online store that has 36L or XL.
Found this but they only have 38L. Any help is appreciated.

The R&B one this season is pretty boxy up top and slim cut.
