Which Loake last are you referring to? I use 6.5 with the 026 last (Kempton chukka boots) but 6 with the Capital last, which Is a little wider.
I can’t be bothered to google my loake lasts but I have tassel loafer from shoemakers and also chukka and split toe from 1880. All 10.5.

Received my factory seconds today and I'm very pleased with the state they came in. Only a very minor scuff that will probably disappear with a bit of polishing. I'm surprised by how roomy they feel though. I wear size 9 oxfords on their extra wide Hiro last, which are a comfortable snug fit. Since these boots are on the normal width Hiro last I thought I should size up to a 9.5, but they're a fair bit roomier than the oxfords. Are boots on the Hiro last a bit more forgiving than their oxfords?

Made an account to show quick pictures of the burgundy heritage shell.

I have a horween shell wallet to compare to and nothing else (Alden MTO coming sometime though).

The shell seems pretty good! looks plasticky like the horween. Feels the same.

I don't know what to look for closely to see if its well made or not, I included a picture of the welt join and seems good?

Nothing looks out of place, damaged etc and the colour is nice.

Here's my haul from the sale: 101787 - Oak Antique and 101637 - Brown Chromexcel

101787 - Oak Antique boots - €144

My reason for ordering these were mostly to get my sizing right. I have found the Hiro 8 to be too narrow, so I tried 8.5 in the shearling oak antique boots and happily they fit better. They do feel very snug even with the half size up, I'm guessing because of the shearling.

In terms of defects I noticed a discreet scar on the upper (visible below on the left shoe on the tip of the reflection), and somewhat uneven welt (not sure if that's par for the course with Meermin). Overall very happy with them for the price.

101637 - Brown Chromexcel - €138
Earlier I took a huge gamble when ordering the Hok Horween shell service boots in true to size (UK8) when I didn't know my size in Hok, even though most people advised going down half a size. So to make sure I had a comparison I ordered these in 7.5. They do fit with thin socks, but surprisingly feel a bit narrow, and definately too small with thick socks. I will keep these around until the Shell boots arrive for comparison, which should be later this month.

In terms of defects it was basically the same as above. A discreet scar on the upper and somewhat uneven welt. Overall very happy with them for the price.

I also received the heritage shell boots today. Fits true to size for me, with regular socks with some room for thicker socks.

First set of pictures is in sunlight, second in a closet non sun light,

Darker than the stock photos.

I've looked them over, not with a magnifying glass or anything, just a quick once over and no complaints,

Took the laces out for a quick fit test, maybe could have went another half size down, but for my first blind order not to bad!

About to go chill with the wife, I'll report back maybe tomorrow if I get a chance to wear them.

I can proudly say worth the wait and every penny!!
How did these end up fitting you? Comfortable?
