I got the cordovan longwing boots, await delivery but the universe is in a spin at the moment so no dispatch as of yet.

Wait, what?

I got a couple of e-mails about some plain-toe shell cordovan bluchers being available during the (brief) sale but by the time I was able to have a look they were all sold out. But I didn't hear anything about cordovan longwing or wingtip boots (or shoes).

Please post pics when they arrive!

I think they did a restock on Sunday morning so I just got lucky! Their was some longwing brogues too but they had either sold quick or not in my size.
Ones I picked up says processing but as I said the world is in flux at the moment.

For one horrible moment I thought you were going to be naked wearing boots...
(Birthday suit here means naked)!!
Same here! Never underestimate my immaturity/love of bad jokes.

I bought my first pair of Meermin shoes during their sale and I must admit I am little disappointed by the shoe. I ordered a wholecut burgundy in a size 7UK. I am a size 8US so it says to order a size 7UK. However, the shoe fits tight and I'm thinking it may actually be a size 7US. The leather is pretty stiff as well. It came with minor scratches, which I really don't have an issue with because I was going to take them to get them shined and the scratches wouldn't have been noticeable. I had high hopes because they have a very nice silhouette. I'm going to order some shoes from Cobbler-Union next. Any other shoes anyone else recommends? I tend to buy Allen Edmonds (I have maybe 8-10 pairs), Magnannis, I have a few Santonis (which I love!). Thanks for any recommendations!

If you are a size 8US there is no way you can slip into a US7 ... You are just not familiar with meermin sizing and lasts.

I am aware that I cannot fit into a size 7US which is why I followed their sizing guide that says and I quote "Meermin size 7= 8US". As I stated above this was my first time ordering from them.

You won’t regret buying from Cobbler Union: they are in a different level from your AE, Magnanni or your recent Meermin. You will enjoy top customer service and excellent shoes or boots.

y'all, thoughts on the HOK last? hopped in that ultraflex chukka MTO since it's basically exactly what I want, willing to take the gamble on QC... 10UK hiro fits great, waist could be a little tighter, but I've got wider feet so I couldn't size down to 9.5UK... so, the MTO says to order same size in hiro for a snug fit that will break in well. true? I checked the sizing measurements, which seem fine if they adhere to them... curious about girth measurement though, and also, phrasing...

thanks!
