My pair is a bit beat up, so it's not a good representation of the shoes. I'll try to take some IRL pictures over the weekend after some clean up.

The leather quality is similar to other CM shoes. Like all Meermin shoes, it's a bit stiff and takes a bit to break-in.

For $250 or so, it's totally worth it.

How they look beat-up is perhaps a better testament to how they wear.

Tipsy (or drunk) e-shopping is the best experience ever. Except for the next morning, when you get all regretful about the things last night seemed like good deals.

Hello. Excuse me for my English please, i am not a native speaker.

Could someone compare Loake's COLT last (or 024 - they are similar) with Meermin's RUI and HIRO lasts?

looking to get my second pair of meermins sometime this month. i already own a pair of black captoe oxford hiro and they fit fine, save for some heel slippages when wearing with thin socks.

i would like to get the double monks in the hiro last (not elton) and have some queries for the experts here:

    1. Will i be fine going the same size as my black captoe hiro's in UK8?

    2. I am contemplating getting the meermin monks or Loakes Cannon monks. They cost around the same and i read their leather are both pretty tough (longer break-in time). The downside of Loake's cannon monks is also that they seem to be too chunky (not sleek) and that maybe a dealbreaker. anyone with experience on these two pairs? Pictures of the meermin db monks in action would be great

    thanks!

    Hey guys!

Can somebody please help me. I usually wear dress shoe size EU44. Right now I want to buy Meermin shoes, but I am afraid to buy wrong size. Can you please tell me should I order hiro size 44 like I usually wear, or should I go size down or EU43.3.

    Thank you in advance!

Your usual size, hiro last is tight in the toe area.

I'm looking at possibly buying the Snuff Rapello Suede Chelsea's. Do they fit the same as the Carmina Inca last?

Hi Antonio, please PM me, I have an almost new pair of Meermin size 10 UK (44) on Hiro last that should fit you. I now realize I use size 43, and so they are too big for me..

    Hey guys!
It's my first time on this forum and I need some help. I ordered two belts and a pair of racing green austerity brogues. Firstly, one of the belts came in the wrong size whilst the shoes were kinda dirty. The metal toecap has rust on it and there were brown stains and a chip on the shoe. I'm fairly new to the shoe world so any advice would be greatly appreciated. It seems that the cs at meermin replies fast only to orders or payment. I have emailed them a couple of times to no reply. Help?[IMG]

Meermin QC is a bit of a hassle at times. I would continue to email and if no response then @ them on instagram with hashtags. They should be able to make the situation right of offer some sort of discount. Shipping back to Spain will probably cost though if they don't cover it.

The toe taps are a non-issue, you'll wear whatever discoloration there is off almost immediately if wearing on concrete.

The blemishes in the uppers would annoy me, but they should also be easy to touch up with a little neutral cream and brushing, and if not a little of the dark green saphir cream would definitely take care of fixing the color. They shouldn't have left Meermin in that condition, but that's a 5 minute fix polishing them yourself. As they'll already have to replace the belt, you might ask that they hook up some green polish rather than shipping the shoes back and forth.

@esoxm @oxfordsandties thank you guys for the replies. the shoes came in a very dark green-almost black if not under sunlight. Not what the pictures depicted. It also feels and looks like a cheap pair. @oxfordsandties as annoyed as i am , wouldn't that seem a little over the top? Has this happened to you before? @esoxm As a broke college student, i had to save up for quite a while for these. Yeah i could probably do that but why is the difference in colour so substantial? Could this be a manufacturing defect or? pics attached .do let me know your thoughts:)[IMG]
