Picture doesn't do it justice. Looks like a slack jawed shark
I have something similar going on with my chukkas, but its not nearly that bad.
Ozzy, that is why I hesitated and then completely bailed out of this MTO. Meermin already has austerity shoe in its lineup so how hard was it to make a boot. Well I guess you have to look at the silver lining now you have a pair boots that you can wear through any conditions and not to worry about them being destroyed.
I'll have mine later and will inspect them.
I know the timing for this may be awkward but...
Last: New Rey, Olfe, Chiseled toe last TBA
Upper: Navy naturcalf
Sole: Double leather or TBD
Price: 310 € with VAT. 256,20 € without VAT
Shipping: Half price
Production: 12-14 weeks
Note: There is a new construction for jodhpur which does not have the seam on the vamp. Photos to come at some point.
I was going to say "In" for the jodhpur boot but I don't feel confident, so I'm out.
Has meermin responded to the QC problems?
Just canceled my order. Tomorrow would have been the 30th day of my wait for RTW.
I left in the comment section to come read the SF thread about the QC complaints
There you go
^what are you getting now instead?
How long is the normal wait time from order to receiving the shoe for a RTW shoe?
Just check your email frequently, cause when I cancelled mine a few months ago I still received two emails in which I was told to pay so they can ship the product. I checked the site and the order was cancelled, so I had to reply telling them that I cancelled it.
^Thanks for the heads up
I will just look elsewhere at other affiliates for some shoes. Wanted to save a few hundred but it's not worth it now hearing all these QC details. I am very picky and it would drive me nuts, too.
I think Meermin is still a small shop, and I still find it ridiculous for waiting 30 days for RTW footwear. It's not RTW if you are waiting for them to make it IMO. Might as well send in foot measurements and get MTO
In hindsight, I am glad I did not have to make a payment first (or deposit). Maybe that should be already a telltale sign of their operations/confidence in QC? It sort of is a slight to the customer who waits for footwear paying at a later time and receiving something sub par
Check out Kent Wang. Both lines of shoes look great. Smaller selection and maybe a bit more expensive but I have a pair of DC Lewis shoes (I think they make both lines) and they're great
Im probably in , if its NR and double ruber.
Toasty go to Wilkes and try on some Carminas, then go to Barneys for some C&J
