1. I'd like to announce that animated avatars are now available again. You'll have to reload, but they are once more possible.

We've been doing a ton of work behind the scenes. The site load speed was already under 1/2 of what Huddler's was, on average, and we installed cloudflare, which means that the site should be even faster. A ton more will go on in the weeks and months to come, and some things will be more visibile, and some less.

    Cheers,

    Fok.

Thanks. My 10.5Ds are pretty snug, so I'm thinking 10 is probably the best bet. Return shipping sounds daunting..

snug length-wise or width-wise? fwiw, i am somewhere between a 10.5D and 10.5E on the AE 5 last (D just a bit narrow for me), and i have a pair of 9.5 meermin in the ama last that fit well. a size 10 would have been too large. you can email meermin for sizing help if you haven't already. i had a lot of trouble with getting a correct recommendation based on their "trace your foot and send a scan" method, and instead took their advice based on my AE size.

I am wearing 8.5d for alden barrie last and find the uk8 hiro double monk just fit. I am sure Uk8.5 would surely be too large.

Just bought a Carmina uk8 in rain last and find the uk8 simpson last also ok to me. My question is, what size shall I get for the new rey last of meermin.

Carmina dark brown (oxford, left) vs meermin dark brown (double monk, right).

Not a great photo, but colour relativity is reasonably accurate.

Edit: better picture of meermin dark brown captoe after a quick polish.

Remember that the Hiro is a little smaller than the Ama. That's why I'd personally take both sizes and return the one I don't need. That's enough to establish one's size for all the Meermin lasts.

Some updates on the plum museum calf MTO. Below are the pictures of the samples shoes; I think I am changing my order to the single monk as to me personally they look fantastic on the Olfe last [IMG]

Delivery is expected in November (due to a delay in the leather) so hopefully everyone will get their shoes then.

With regards to the hatchgrain MTO, the new last has been sent to a lasting factory for several sizes; bear in mind that the new last is similar to the Vass U-last so it will look super sleek. [IMG]

I'm sorry to have to rain on you cheerful shoe parade.

I have been looking for a stylish briefcase in good quality leather and I came across this from Meermin http://meermin.es/ficha_articulo.php?id=2852 which I find highly appealing. Does anyone have experience with Meermin bags and briefcases? If so, could you make a qualified comparison to any established brand within the leather goods market? I.e. Mulberry, The Bridge or something similar.

    Thanks.
