ha, already included that in my assessment. kjbsfdajnkfdsabkjlfadskbfsadbjkfadsfad
buy american, in another state and you might be better off
you're right, i missed that on your list....
I didn't get hit with any CA use tax bills but I did get a letter from state of CA saying they are aware I have been importing shoes and I owe the use tax.... due and payable by April 15!
^ likewise. since i returned the jodphurs, i shoudnt have to pay use tax on them. it should be fun trying to prove that.
Whoa!! Have they charged you for both pairs in that calculation? Puts VAT in perspective! Proxy anyone?
I would love an update on the museum calf MTO. Some pictures of the process?
I recall the total fee being about 10% including the Fed Ex fee.
If you check the site:
This is the closest number I found (quick search) for duty description
64035960 Footwear w/outer soles and uppers of leather, not cov. ankle, n/welt, for men, youths and boys (Begin Effect Date: 10/31/2012)
Shows the fee of 8.5%
Yup. 8.5% is correct. FedEx fee is usually around $6 AFAIK.
This bloody thread is now dominated by fees and duties comments. C'mon people, lets focus on the shoes.
^ post pics, don't complain
it's a fcking reality of buying shoes. Meermin is only attractive at the prices listed online. With duties and fees, use tax they are not worth the money, not in the states atleast
nvm wrong thread
Thanks for the helps guys. Earlier in the day, I phoned FedEx with the number on the invoice. The invoice is on hold for 6 months while customs checks it out
I thought that was pretty fcking obvious, Sherlock. Do you still need to flog the dead horse? None of the other shoe threads has this virus. Why should I not complain?
