There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

I'd like to see some pics of older, 'worn in' Meermins; anyone care to oblige? Particularly looking for conservative and boring ones.

And, conversely, I don't like the way black calf ages with wear. While calf wear-wrinkles add a warm, worn character to browns, on blacks it just makes it look old and tired. That's specifically the reason why I'm interested in black shell, I'd much rather sacrifice some mirror finish for rolls rather than creases. My .02

Mine were shipped to my US address. 2 more weeks before I can go down there and bring them back... and it's killing me.

    Those look great man.

I will definitely be swapping flat laces for round, though.

Were we able to come up with a preferred care method for the museum calf?

This was what PePe replied me:

I am glad to hear that you are pleased with the final result of the Museum MTO.

There is not a problem to use Renovateur on the shoes, you won't strip the finishing.
It will be a great conditioner to use to care for your shoes.

If you want to polish them up, I think that the better option to keep the hues of the leather will be to use neutral polish, to not 'cover' it with the polish wax.

I hope you'll enjoy wearing them!

you wont be able to strip aniline dyed through and drum press coated leather such as museum calf with renovator or other stronger wax stripper.

Got the UPS shipping email. But when used, it says "A UPS shipping label has been created. Once the shipment arrives at our facility, the tracking status--including the scheduled delivery date--will be updated."

    :(

    Guess more waiting for me...

This may be nitpicky, but how come Meermin doesn't move the imprint on the bottom of the sole? After a few wears, all of that gets scratched off and disappears. Or do you all wear shoe taps to prevent this from happening? I'm kind of sad that there is no more imprint on my double monks anymore.

Was hoping that the Museum MTO would be different since it's a LM shoe and maybe they would've imprinted it somewhere else like other shoemakers do so it won't disappear after a few wears.

Received my pair today. Got hit by duties (RM153, about $50) because Meermin declared the package with the full value of 260 euros.

    Pictures to come later (high-res).

I hastily slipped them on to gauge the fit, and from that one time they seem to fit me quite similarly to a pair of Vass U last shoes. Snug, but not tight. I believe they'll break in very nicely.

Haven't scrutinised much but they look stellar, and I really couldn't ask for any more.

Now I just need a special occasion to wear them...

Huge shout out to terrorsquad for organising this. I really, really appreciate what you've done, and the next time we meet lunch's on me!

    Zarium, they look awesome!:slayer:

I'll take a few pics of mine soon. For those who have not yet received any form of notification by tomorrow, please PM me and i'll sort it out with Pepe ASAP.

Looking forward to organizing the next MTO special order with Meermin (in the works actually); hope the next group is as awesome as the group that participated in the museum calf MTO :D
