My conjecture is that everything is done in China. Final inspection for retail product is done in Spain (and the 'finishes'). Remember, Meermin mainly OEM to Japan and it doesn't make any logistic sense to make part in China, part in Spain, and then ship to Japan.

And yes, Chinese can do handwelting, its not magic.

Yeah pretty sure it's 100% China. The shoes also don't say Made in Spain anywhere

I have four pairs of Classic Line Meermins. 3 are standard catalouge, 4th is the reverse captoe oxford in mid brown (only black is listed on the webpage). The 4th one clearly says "Made in Spain" on the insole.

Does anyone have pictures of the Dark Brown Double Monks in the New Rey last for the LM line? I'm not a fan of regular double monks but I like the look of these because they are very longer/elegant looking (if you know what I mean). Any pictures of Dub Monks in the New Rey (or even Vil if it's possible) last would be appreciated.

    Here you go ...
    I had posted these before.
The last picture was taken a few minutes ago. Shoes have been worn several times and had to undergo a lot of dancing action on a XMas do.

    Lol, indeed.

Products should be judged on their own merits, and not the origin label. China manufacturing has come a long way in the last 10-20 years.

I agree. I just need to get over the whole "where it's made" thing.

Beautiful! I actually like the look of the Olfe best, but the Ama seems to be pretty good as well, just haven't seen good pictures of shoes built on it. I expect you're going to keep us updates? Btw, is that burgundy or dark brown shell? My monitors are built for excel, not shoes (sadly).
