    W 105mm shoe sole 9UK. - W 108mm shoe sole 9,5UK.
    L 296mm last 9UK. - L 300mm last 9,5UK
    W 101mm last 9UK. - W 104mm last 9,5UK

Anyone have a comparison or opinion of the Snuff vs the Dark brown rapello suede? Ive seen some pics here that looks quite light but the web photos the suedes look quite dark. Not sure what the "real" colour is between the two.

Was thinking about exactly the same model. You say you have Loake 1880, how do they compared in sizing/fit?

They mirror a 3625 last shoe in 10.5/11 well, but with a pointier toe. If you can't try a 3625 on, try a 026, and use that/go up half a size (depending on how wide your foot is)

Did you size down 1 or half size?

I have both 3625 and 026. 3625 in 7.5G (or at least 8.0F) is the best of all. I guess I should go with 8 in Meermin Rui.
    Thanks!

I went down a half size. I'll find out in about 20 days if that works.

Anyone with well worn Meermin pictures?

Why give the foul advise on sizing up/down? Why force your feet into shoes not designed similar to your feet contour?

Bit of a double post (also in Oz thread) but for those looking for some sizing guidance and inspiration ... my Meermin's arrived today!

Fit like a glove (C&J 337 9uk and im a 9UK on the Hiro last) and quality great! Not as good as C&J handgrade or a Carmina but lightyears ahead of any shoes at the same price point. In fact these fit better than my carmina's (Simpson last 9UK was too tight across the vamp and 9UK robert has some heel slip now they have broken in)

Going to load up on more - do I go brown suede oxford or dubmunk??

    Looking very nice.

Regular Hiro Last or modified? GY1 or GY2 Hand welted?

In what aspect are they 'inferior' to C&J Handgrade/Carmina?

I would go for suede oxford, but that's just me.

Look forward to some pictures after a couple weeks of hard break-in!

Here's pictures of my Meermin captoes after about three dozen wears. Considering they have been abused a little and unfortunately had to be used to walk through some nasty surfaces, I believe they're holding up quite well:

They will look almost new after some polish and edge dressing [IMG]
