Having them made on one last is definitely easier. Less room for error too. But I was thinking that perhaps one or two exceptions could be made - for those who have wider feet and have to opt for some of the wider lasts because the sleeker ones just don't work.

    Just a suggestion, though. [IMG]

    +1 for Olfe.

I can compare Olfe, Alma and JL7000, if any one wants. I also have EG in 202, 82, and 888 if anyone wants that too.

That would help. How does the Olfe compare to the Ama? Should I get the same size?

I wear the same size, but the Alma is definitely wider and not as sleek.

In regards to the MTO group buy for a JL Phillip II type shoe - is the only visual difference between the Phillip II and City that the City lacks the brogueing across the toe and the mini-brogrueing by the laces?

How do the lasts being considered compare to the New Rey? Just got a size 9uk. And they're maybe a tiny bit snug width wise [IMG]

Maybe we do half hiro and half olfe or half hiro half ben. Essentially 2 MTO groups into 1 order.

The bag/luggage teaser on Meermin's tumblr has piqued my interest.

Here you go. Derby is Meermin on their Hiro last. Oxford is JL City on their 7000 last (same as Phillip II). I've made the pictures black and white so that you're not distracted by the differences in color.

JL's 7000 seems a touch more sleek to me, with a lower instep.
