Could use some input on sizing, as I can't find a clear answer anywhere online. I'm looking for a pair of unlined loafers in either the Ron or Nova last. I've seen some say a half size down fit them the best, others a full size, etc. I wear an 8.5D in Red Wing Blacksmiths. Brannock measurements as pictured. Any advice? I'd prefer to not order multiple pairs considering the shipping cost to return them

Aside from my issues in dealing with Meermin‘s administrative corporate inadequacies and some qc problems, I too have had sizing difficulties. My sneaker size is US 10. I’m between a US D & E width. In many if not most off the shelf boots I’m a US 9.5. Meermin suggests ordering suede loafers in a half size down. Much too tight for me. Even their size 10 was too narrow. Eventually I went up half a size to 10.5 and attached an anti heel slip device at the heel. Still and all the loafers aren’t a great fit but it’s adequate.
Even with my disgruntlement I’m going to visit their NYC retail store in May. I will address sizing and lasting issues and options then and there in real time. No more fussing about with Meermin online for now.

Meermin is an odd one to size, but seems to offer narrower lasts than any other brand. A year ago, I ordered a pair of suede loafers on the Ron last in size UK9. Ended up selling them, as they were slightly too loose after break in. The only other Meermin pair I have is a Hiro split toe in size UK9.5, which fits better, although the heel is not very snug. Hiro seems like a very narrow last.

I have low volume foot, low arch and low instep. Have suffered from bunion pain due to not finding a fit with good enough heel support. Just recently I did a round in my local shops and went through basically every loafer brand available: Carlos Santos, TLB artista, Loakes in F and G fit, Berwick. None fit me. UK 8 is too short across the board, and UK 8.5 is too high in the instep. Ended up ordering Meermin again, but with a UK 8.5 this time...I'll report once I receive them in a few days.

Brannock measurement is a good starting point but doesn’t cover your instep height or heel width, both of which greatly influence fit. Since you're a US 9C Brannock, a good start would be Nova UK 8 since it's a bit narrow last, but some people like tight fitting loafers, so you might also be happier with UK 7.5. Unfortunately the only way to know is to try them on

For me, the tassel loafers on the Ron last fit very good in size 11.5, I'm a UK 12. I was told I would need to take an 11 on the new Nova last. 😶
I'll report back if I ever get back to the store to them on.

As the Nova are unlined styles, stretching of the leather might be one factor along with width. Below are the measurements I could find on those two lasts. UK 11 measurements in brackets.

Nova UK 11.5
Insole length: 314 mm (309.75 mm)
Insole width: 104 mm (103.75 mm)
Ball girth: 263 mm (260 mm)
Foot length: 297.4 mm (294.1 mm)

Ron UK 11.5
Insole length: 316.4 mm
Insole width: 102 mm
Ball girth: 267 mm
Foot length: 296.4mm
