I am considering on purchasing my first pair of Meermin, I use Carmina in 10.5 UK in Detroit, Church's in 10.5 UK 173 and Loake in 10.5 UK in Capital last. Maybe someone can help me with size comments of the Hiro and HOK last. Thank you very much

I take same size Hok as Trickers 4497s, Loake and Crocket and Jones. From what you have that I’ve seen I’d think the Hok would be ideal for you. The boots they have now in waxy commander look very appealing, great leather!

Chestnut country calf boots from the free shipping sale

In comparison with the black brogue boots, the leather is much thicker but also much softer. I think the stiffness of Meermins black shoes might come from the paint used

In terms of fit (RUI vs HOK), the toebox is similar wide, but the shaft/ankle is more narrow on HOK

Have noticed this as well. Hok is a good fit on my foot, much better for me than Rui, but at the ankle the facings are almost as wide as the tongue. I try to cover the top of the boot with my cuff because it looks a bit off. At the bottom they're almost touching and the gap gets wider all the way up.

Hi all.

New here and love my Meermin shoes.

Here are some pictures of a few frequently used oxfords. (One pair of Spier and Mackay, the rest Meermin)

I have a pair of Adelaides coming. (101565 - OAK ANTIQUE CALF – E)

Love to see some pictures of well worn Meermin shoes.

FG.

Any sizing advice on the soft calf loafers?
I wear 6.5 UK in Hiro oxfords and 6 UK in HOK boots.
I went down half a size for my unlined Hiro suede loafers (6 UK) thinking it would be a better fit but I was wrong, they're too small and didn't stretch much. I should've went with 6.5 UK.

Lots of misinformation as to the Hok fitting huge, they don’t!

I am usually a 10D and Meermin recommended a 9UK (typical 1 size drop). I went with an 8.5UK and they seem to be a good size, but still a tad large for me for a loafer. I recommend looking at their size assistance thing, pick the last and size and measure your feet. It was very similar to those measurements.
