"DUE TO RECENT SITUATION CAUSED BY COVID-19 WE HAVE DECIDED TO ADD A FREE PAIR OF SHOE TREES TO EVERY PAIR ORDERED THROUGH OUR MTO GROUPS ,THIS WAY WE HOPE TO MAKE THIS SITUATION AS EASY AS POSSIBLE."

FYI, they're throwing in free shoe trees with all current MTOs.
Another incentive for me to pull the trigger on the Navy shell PTBs. :)

Anyone looking to pick up the Meermin Linea Maestros, that wears a UK 8.5EE, New Rey last, which I translate to a US 9.5D. Check my listing $135, box, trees, shipped Cont. US.

Did anyone here receive the Nov MTO Rapello snuff-e?!

Very disappointed in receiving now two different pairs in 4 months.
Both of doubtable quality and NOT AT ALL on par with product pictures. The second pair furthermore arrived scuffed like a factory second, first pair had military style hooks instead of eyelets and also a couple of scuffs.

IMG_1483.JPG

Both pairs wrong color (more like chestnut), no beautiful contrast stiching like the pictures, and days of fighting 'customer service' even though I supplied high res photos showing it was a completely different set of boots. I think now more than 40 emails for this one order.

Trustpilot seems to be filled with people who had similar experiences.

But. I'm curious - did ANYONE receive the above order, as it was originally described??

Always pay with paypal. Use paypal for faulty orders.

Never buy Meermin. That's the real lesson.

I'd say Meermin is a high risk bet, but with a significant upside/value if you are not unlucky. I would probably admit that their customer service is about as bad as it gets, bit in fairness I have ordered approx 10 pairs with no issues at all. Since Meermin is not present here to respond during those periods when "unlucky" customers complain there is no way to know how frequently such bad situations arise.

I get your point but dissagree on the stand that they have to present here to respond, to be able to judge a company on their reputation or not.

Facts, like a such SO-ME based company actively removed the “Rating”-button on their facebook profile,.. or rating sites like this, tells enough about low quality, missing craftmanship and absent customer support. Yaks!

I have at least 3 or 4 pairs of Meermin but 50% max chance of succes simply doesnt cut it.

Im out $250 and consider the money lost.
Im no more proud than to devote 2 full weeks of easter holiday to examine productive ways of dragging scammers like that through the mud.. I wanna make completely sure that the loss they suffer is bigger than the loss they inflicted on me.

How do you feel about spending money on non-essential goods during the Covid-19 crisis?

  • I don't want to spend money at a time of economic uncertainty, even if I could afford it.

  • I feel compelled to spend to help small businesses that are struggling.

  • I reduced my budget for non-essential goods and I'm not spending at the moment.

  • Not much has changed for me and I'm still buying stuff I can't afford.
