Anyone else having problems with the Hiro last in the chelsea boot being super narrow? I had a pair of Hiro-oxfords which were fine, but the chelsea boot is murdering the front part of my feet.

Copper Meermin tasseks today. I know there is lots of discussion of the breakin pains with this brand — I have felt that pain for sure — but for whatever it’s worth it has not been nearly as bad with the loafers I have as compared to the oxfords.

And for me at least, the unforgiving thermoplastic heel stiffeners.

received some RON black calf loafers which overall fit OK but are a bit tight on the outside of my left foot. Can I expect some stretching? Don't think the heel would fit well if I went up 0.5

Yes I have a Hiro chelsea and the front is indeed too narrow. Actually I'd say more like too short. The only way for me to make it fit is to order half size larger then put an additional thin latex insole. Need the latex anyway as inside sole is too uncomfortable. This is true with all Hiros I've ordered.

I made that mistake with their split toe. Don't order 1 size up. In my experience they don't stretch but I've been mostly ordering stiff shells.

Try it with thin socks and it is better. I have a high instep so quite complicated. I will put a patina on it and will see how it feet me.

Hi, this is my first post on this thread. I am about to pull the trigger on some Meermin loafers in the Elton last. I am trying to decide between UK10.5 and UK11. My Brannock measurement is approximately US11.75 (right) and US11.5 (left), however my arch length is firmly in the 12 range for both right and left. I have found that for AE 5 lasts I need to size up to 12 and get a C width. My guess is this makes me a UK11 in the Elton last, but any suggestions are appreciated. Love the look of this MTO:
