Very different. Uetam feels shorter with lower instep as well.

My pair of cigar ptb shells from the last drop is absolutely great. Not too stiff or anything. Meermin's reputation is imo unnecessarily bad - at least what comes to Italian shells.

@dymwest, could you please repost the pictures of your whiskey shell ptbs? It would be really interesting to see what is real color of those shoes. Thanks!

Wow, should I go with a 10.5? 10 EE? The 10 UK in Elton and Hiro were for the captoe and boot respectively.

I wore a 6 on uetam (without socks) but can go 5.5 hiro if flexible or 6 if stiff using socks.

Meermin has been one of my go to brands for a few years now. For the price, for me, there isn't anything better. I've been lucky that most of their stuff has been easy to break-in. eBay has lately been very good to me. Would have gladly purchased these 2 pairs at retail at some point or another but it's nice to get these 2 pairs under the price of 1. Gave them a quick toe shine with a soft rag. $160 shipped.

Do the Elton last Chelsea's boots fit differently than their Cap-toes?

I read around here that the boots and shoes fit differently even on the same last?

^ I can’t say for the Elton last, but I own Galway-esque boots and split-toe derbies both on the Hiro last, and have found that they, indeed, fit slightly differently. Not enough to size up or down, though.

If anything do the boots or derbies seem to be larger?

I also own the galway-esque boots and like them although I think a sleeker last would imitate it better.

^ I am not really familiar with the glossary nor the specific terms for each area of a shoe, but I feel the boots are a little larger. The derbies seem to hug my feet better, especially around the arch (narrower waist, maybe?), thus making them a little bit more confortable to wear.

The downside is that my Hiro-lasted shoes (not the boots) eats the underside of my outer ankle when walking on uneven terrain, as opposed to my Elton-lasted shoes, which are more confortable in this regard.

Hey Guys, is there a possibility to get free shipping (to mainland Europe) somehow? Do they special offers?

In the 3 years I buy Meermin, I have never seen any discounts or offers.

Not so often. A few weeks ago they had a free shipping offer - I guess it was some kind of thanks giving day campaign (?).

Background: 7.5D on Brannock device. Looking for sleek chisel-toe last for a black captoe oxford.

Trying to compare Meermin Hiro & Elton lasts to Septieme Largeur 199 and Yanko 915. Please reply with any insight. I would think that I am a regular 6.5 UK in most, as my feet are on the narrow side.
