    Hi,
I was just wondering if anyone could shed some light on what the On... crotchAfter and On... crotchBefore measurements listed on japanese sites are in reference to. Thanks.

heres a guess. i think both are measured from the junction at the crotch. after, being up the back seam to top of the waistband. before, being up the front also to the top of the waistband. that sound right?

I think you're right. Would this be referred to (combined) as the 'crutch' measurement in traditional terms?

A tailor is right. Otherwise known as front rise and back rise.
