Isnt this what might be described as a sea going mcmansion? Look at the ghastly (and needy) use of fiberglass. The hull should have been crafted with reclaimed planks from 9th century viking longships.

this is either high art/architecture or a building shaped like FECES. Seriously it looks like a dog deuce that's been dragged a little. Its also beautiful. [IMG] some mcmansions are fucking aweosme though.. like this one in Sedona. [IMG] I think its awesome just because of the setting and how cool it would be to live in that monstrosity. You could go out for an awesome drive, run, bike ride or just stare out the windows at the views.

Or ... you could have built a better house on that site ... because it's the setting that is awesome.

what about all those boxy military houses in Daly City and south san Francisco? the way they are so cramped and have that weird optical illusion where it looks like a tiny 2 bedroom house but then you go inside and its a two level 4 bedroom family home. they pre-date the mcmansion boom (all were made in the early 70s-80s) and are but ugly from the outside. If I had unlimited funds, and lived in an alternate universe, I would build a Jules Verne home along these lines:

    my library:

    My museum:

    My terrace:

    My airship:

Reminds me of the house Luke Skywalker grew up in.

If that was his house he would have stayed on Tatooine.

Yes, modern has its appeal ... but when I think of home sweet home ... I think of something akin to the following:

As this predates things McDonalds ... perhaps this is a MacMansion ... or Bangers & MashMansion.

Not a fan of that building at all. The location looks good though.

That's the real thing. Who wouldn't want that?

So, serious question. If that mansion was only two years old how would you feel about it? The same?
