Let's be real. Starbucks is a way for grown-ups to order chocolate milk and still feel cool about it.

That's why if I do have to go to Starbucks, I order a two-shot, one-pump mocha (no whip). They -- usually young women -- act as if I'd ordered ketchup in it.

two shots? better be getting a tall... anything bigger than that and you don't like coffee.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. You don't like steak if you smother a good steak in sauce. You don't like coffee if you smother it with milk, chocolate, syrup, whipped cream, and etc.

If you liked coffee, you'd drink coffee.

There's a difference between putting a little bit of milk in your coffee, and puting 4x more milk in than coffee, plus chocolate. A double shot is roughly 2oz of espresso. a "tall" is 12oz. You do the math. One enhances the flavor of coffee, one masks it. Mochas and Latte's are clearly the latter.

honestly I don't really like the taste of coffee that much. It tastes like 100 bags of tea boiled in a cup.

but I like the smell. that's why I drink it.

maybe i should just smell it.

Hey, why so tense, too much caffeine?

But, come on, people can drink it any way they want. And, why should you care how they drink it? You make it sound like they are doing something wrong. Guess what, they aren't! It is purely a matter of personal taste. That is all.

I'm not making it sound like they are doing something wrong, I am telling you that if you say you like coffee, but only drink mochas, you are a liar. You don't like coffee, because the entire point of that drink is to hide the fact that there's coffee in it. I just don't like liars.

If people would just admit that they don't like coffee, like Tarmac (a reasonable gentleman) did and I have no problem with that. Stop pretending to be someone you aren't. Its embarrasing and inappropriate.

Slim, Slim, Slim....it's 5 o'clock, why don't you just go and have a nice, dry martini and forget about all this coffee nonsense. That is what I'm doing in 20 minutes.

Why would I drink Starbucks coffee? The bean quality is awful and they brew it too weak. Besides, I like mochas, as long as they're made with extra expresso, less chocolate, and no whipped cream. It makes more sense to me to buy something I can enjoy than something I can. Now, when I go to the local coffee house that has good beans and barristas that know what they're doing, I get a double espresso.

And yes, my Starbucks is a tall.

I don't like martinis. Maybe if you added a bunch of milk and chocolate to them, I might like them better.
