On laundering, I have a wool sweater that I'm considering washing by hand with Woolite. The label says "Dry clean only". I'm thinking about washing it because it a little too big and I want to shrink it just a little. I've read that you can hand wash clothes labeled as "Dry clean" but that you should dry clean clothes that are labeled "Dry clean only".
Has anyone here hand washed a "Dry clean only" sweater with good results?

I have hand washed wool sweaters with no ill effects.

Honest question: how often do you guys clean/wash your trousers? I wash shirts and tees often (underwear too obvi) but I rarely wash trousers - if there is visible soiling or stains, of course, but otherwise can easily go 10 wears without cleaning. Same with knitwear - rarely clean my knits, and rather leave them out to dry/air between wears. If they smell weird or are visibly dirty, I will clean them

In general, anything that goes in direct contact with my skin, except trousers and jeans, goes to the laundry after each wear. Chinos and jeans, after 5 or 6 uses, knit sweaters never as I wear them on the top of a shirt except if they get stained. Tailored garments, such as trousers and jackets that would need dry-cleaning, only when needed, which means just once in a while.

Going back to formal wear...Ralph really knows how to pull of a DB:

I have a few small nitpicks about the suit (gorge could be a bit lower, jacket a bit longer), but overall RL is probably the most consistent MC designer out there.

I have a few small nitpicks about the suit (gorge could be a bit lower, jacket a bit longer), but overall RL is probably the most consistent MC designer out there.

I find that jacket just too short. It doesn’t even cover his crotch.

Hardly a jacket or fit to get excited about. I’m not going to get into a litany of issues and red lines but let’s just say that proportions are off across many dimensions. there are better options out there.

Besides the fact I think a ticket pocket on a pinstrip DB is needlessly busy, the jacket is insanely short and looks short in the arms.

Can't imagine how bad it would look on a non-model in real life as opposed to professional handsome person in PShoped pro photography.

I like this one as well, but again a bit short.

I think @clee1982 previously pointed out that they either use ‘S’ or ‘R’ sizes for their very tall models, which skews the proportions. I would also hazard to guess that they use a shorter jacket to show the pleats.

the trousers themselves fit fine and are above the waist.

Yea it’s not just RL, even brand like Isaia/Brioni what not all does this, super annoying, I have never ran into any RLPL being too short in real life

Edit: same with the current Phineas Cole photos just lots of “not how it would look if you buy normal size”

Nearly every brand does this. Only 2 brands that I know of that don’t do this are Tom Ford and Kiton. Most of the models are wearing close to correct length suit jackets or sports coats.

Yup Tom Ford does it right, never paid attention to Kiton, so never knew. How about Attolini?
