Maybe a recharge for the Fall? "How do you do CM in the post-Covid workplace?" We can try to avoid the usual pitfalls?

Summer is a CM dead zone for me. In three days a week but cycling. Two sport coats, navy hopsack and brown mohair, in office. Will go back to suits when work returns to whatever normal will be.

I still can't bring myself to wear tshirts as my only layer out for anything but exercise. Need a short sleeve linen button down or summer camp shirt, light jacket, maybe a linen sweater for early and late summer. Just a quirk of mine. Can wear them as base layer of course.

Was just typing this in SdC linen shorts, Drake's linen SS shirt and espadrilles.

I don't understand how anyone dislikes short sleeve shirts. As long as they're fitted properly around the arm (tightly), they're better than t-shirts and polos combined.

I used to be on this train. With the baby currently I'm a little more lax and occasionally wear a tshirt out for a quick errand.

I agree in principal though.

I was the same, but I will say, the anthology's knitted t-shirts have changed my views on that, I wear them pretty casually, if I didn't run so hot I'd wear tailoring in summer, even in fresco I'm sweating.

I have a few of those as well but I mentally put them in a different category and wear them out. They seem a step-up from "regular" t-shirts.

I completely, I think of them more like a short sleeve crew neck sweater.

Sure, I get that...that's a huge reason why I've participated in every forum I have over the last 20 years. But if you consistently feel like there's nothing good in a forum, it's time to leave. The good old days never return.

I agree with this. SS button up shirt, LS button up with sleeves rolled, or T shirt with a shirt jacket or light sweater.....

I don't think smitty said he disliked SS shirts. Just not wearing a T Shirt as his only layer.... which seems reasonable.
