I ordered a copy of L'etiquette and they sent me the French language version?‍♂️.
I wonder if they have subscriptions here? Might try to read a copy first. I looked at one issue of "Chap" mag from UK and it was laughably silly.

(I am probably overthinking this, but here goes).

I am trying to learn about ivy style. I understand that shetland sweaters are a staple for FW, but what kind of sweaters would you consider for an ivy look for colder spring/summer days?

I am currently looking at some solid crew neck sweatshirts and some crew neck summery knits in cotton/linen blends. Not sure what details/cuts to look for.
Search for cricket sweaters.

Cricket sweater featured currently in the window at J Press.

by the way does anyone know if the Carmina store near grand central would install metal toe tap for other brand as they seem to do it on site (highly unlikely, but looks like B. Nelson is less responsive these days, I think Leather Spa doing metal toe tap too, but not sure about the quality of their work).

Yeah, that was what I was planning on doing. The photos are nice but it's kind of pointless if I can't read the articles. Maybe they'll ship me an english version.

Call Advance Shoe Repair in midtown and ask if they will do it.

can't wait for the convo to cycle to someone posting about paul stuart. then another discussion about drake's. the another discussion about canali. then back to paul stuart. then drake's. then canali. then paul stua--

Let’s not be so cynical...

But to @clee1982 ‘s point, jacket doesn’t look that special. Same/similar comment could apply to any brand. I like the general direction Drake’s is going in terms of styling, but I don’t think they’ve hit the sweetspot in the way PRL tailoring has.

But for those that like it, you can order it from the UK at a substantial discount.

is this actual made to bespoke standard?

Honestly, I’m not sure. It sold out very quickly (a few SF members have them), so I didn’t get a chance to handle them in person.

But they seem to be getting good reviews on the Lobb thread.
