Pinstripes are really for business, and there are increasingly few businesses where suits are required. Just not very versatile

What do you guys think of this pattern? This is from scabal's Heroic catalogue
Originally I was trying to go for something classic and subtle,
but this caught my eye and I went ahead to make a 3-piece suit of it.
Is it too loud?
I don't want to look like a douche bag like the following pic..
Have I made a huge mistake?

The key is to stop thinking of it as a douchey look. You can make it work. But it will look substantially the same as that suit

I am 26 and I am a teacher. A 3-piece might have been an overkill... What WAS I THINKING!!???
I like wearing suits and I pretty much wear one every day.
Well.. at least it is in a darker blue I guess... Right guys?? guys..??

If you're worried about coming across as a douche bag, just don't behave like one. Waiting for something to be made up is exciting. Enjoy the anticipation and don't worry about it-- your suit's gonna look great.

Looks fine to me I would have gone for even bolder (ie wider) like chalk stripe personally. This looks pretty reasonable to me

I think the finished suit in that photo looks bad because of the cut, not the fabric. That said, a navy pinstripe suit strikes me as odd in an academic setting.

For some reason it popped into my head that I went through a short phase in college where I wore Ray Ban Wayfarers indoors and at night. A friend named RJ who always had something to say scoffed at me and made a huge stink. He always began sentences with "listen brother!" Anyway he began his sentence in this very same way and inquired about the look. I told him Lou Reed always looked cool with sunglasses on at night so I would do it too. "Listen brother! Lou Reed was on smack you can't pull that off!" It was true, I could not pull that off.
