It's a great colour, it would look good on cavalry twill trousers, or a corduroy jacket or trousers, or, of course, knitwear.

This is a common style in India. It was popularized by Prime Minister Nehru, hence the "Nehru Collar". These look more informal. In India, they tend to be more formal - made out of twills and worsted fabrics and worn as evening wear.

P.S. You can get a tailor in India to make a superbly fitted jacket in a great cloth for significantly less than these jackets.
