It's hard to tell, but it may be a rope stripe.

Also, it looks like he's wearing the RLPL Gregory fit - a very structured shoulder (probably the most shoulder wadding in any RTW brand I've handled), and a very narrow chest/waist. That may account for the lack of belly.
So here by belly I'm just referring to any curve along the edge of the lapel. When I follow the roll of the forward lapel line from the button to the point, it definitely looks curved to me. Not a lot, I grant you, but it's definitely there and I think adds a touch to the jacket.

Thank you for clarifying. Now I see.

So in true Forvm fashion, I went looking for a reference and found this post by JeffreyD about the difference between belly and roll. In it he points out that Ralph likes straight lines on his RTW stuff, he also points out a sign of a straight lapel in how you watch the pattern. It's a cool post. Worth a read.

Anyway, I went back and re-looked at the lapels and the stripes do bend and curve and it looks like there is shape and space beneath the jacket, like it is lying on top of something. I don't take back my statement about belly (see Jeffrey's post for a great example) but the belly on that jacket, if there is one, is very slight.

Do you guys think that this is an acceptable temporary solution:

The shoe trees fit the front part of the loafers well and the back part does not press on the heel area, but they are a bit too long. I intend to keep them like this until I make another shoe order and buy multiple proper-fitting shoe trees…

For suede I’m guessing supporting the toe box is important. Should be good.

Don't let perfect be the enemy of good enough. It'll tide you over.

This is likely neurotic (even by StyFo standards lol), but, do y'all make certain to hang your jackets with either buttons (chest buttons) visible, or with the fabric/buttonhole side covering them?

The thought just struck me today. I don't, but was curious if there was some sort of "rule" tied to the thing.

I always hang jackets so the fabric/buttonhole side is covering the button side... but I also might need to tweak my lexapro prescription.

I refuse to even think about this.

I've never REALLY given it serious consideration. Button out "looks" right to me. Though, I could see button covered being "correct," as it's (I guess) covering buttons from possible nicks.

Either way, these are the important things one must consider in his day
